Char Dham Yatra by Taxi from Delhi

Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath in a comfortable cab with drivers who know the hill roads.

Char Dham Yatra by road from Delhi

The Char Dham Yatra covers the four Himalayan shrines of Uttarakhand: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Going by private taxi lets your family travel at its own pace, stop where you like and avoid the hassle of changing buses on mountain roads.

We arrange the cab from your doorstep in Delhi NCR and plan the route with you. You can do all four dhams, or a shorter Do Dham yatra to Kedarnath and Badrinath.

The four dhams

Yamunotri

Goddess Yamuna

About 6 km trek from Janki Chatti; ponies and palkis available.

Gangotri

Goddess Ganga

Reachable by road up to the temple.

Kedarnath

Lord Shiva

Vehicles go up to Sonprayag; from Gaurikund it is a trek of roughly 16 km. Helicopter services also run.

Badrinath

Lord Vishnu

Reachable by road up to the town.

Frequently asked questions

How many days does a Char Dham Yatra from Delhi take by taxi?

Usually 10 to 12 days for all four dhams. A Do Dham trip (Kedarnath and Badrinath) takes about 6 to 7 days. We can plan the days around your pace and hotel bookings.

When is the Char Dham Yatra season?

The temples usually open around Akshaya Tritiya (April/May) and close around Diwali (October/November). May–June and September–October are the most popular months; the monsoon (July–August) can bring landslides and road closures.

Is registration required for the Char Dham Yatra?

Yes. Pilgrims need to register with Uttarakhand Tourism before the yatra. Please complete your registration before the trip date; we can guide you through it.

Which cab is best for Char Dham?

An Innova Crysta is the most comfortable choice for families of up to 7 on long hill drives. For larger groups, a Tempo Traveller (up to 12 seats) works well.

Can the taxi go all the way to Kedarnath and Yamunotri?

No. Cabs go up to Sonprayag for Kedarnath and Janki Chatti for Yamunotri; the last stretch is a trek, with ponies, palkis and (for Kedarnath) helicopters available. Gangotri and Badrinath are reachable by road.
